Each shade is hand-woven from natural bamboo, so subtle variations in tone, texture and weave are part of its character. The low dome keeps light focused downwards, and the matte black cord and canopy add a crisp, modern contrast.

Plan the ceiling
Which size, how high.
Room centre
Add the room’s length and width in metres and multiply by 8 for a good diameter in cm. A 2 × 2 m room suits Ø 30 cm, a 2.5 × 2.5 m room Ø 40 cm, a 3 × 3 m room Ø 45–50 cm and a 3.5 × 4 m room Ø 60 cm. For larger rooms, use several pendants.

Over a table
Choose a diameter of about two-thirds of the table’s width: Ø 40 cm for a 60 cm table, Ø 50 cm for 75 cm, Ø 60 cm for 90 cm. Over an island, hang two or three Ø 30–40 cm shades in a row, about 60–80 cm apart. Hang the bottom of the shade 75–90 cm above the tabletop.

Ceiling height
Where people walk underneath, set the cord so the bottom of the shade is at least 2.1 m (7 ft) above the floor. On ceilings above 2.4 m, add about 7.5 cm of drop for every 30 cm of extra height.

No. Because each one is hand-woven from natural bamboo, small variations in tone and weave are normal.
