The story
The beauty of wabi-sabi
Inspired by the Japanese love of natural, imperfect beauty, each shade is handwoven from rattan, so subtle variations in tone, texture and weave are part of its character. The low dome keeps the light focused downwards, ideal over a table.

Sizes are a guide for overall room lighting. Larger or taller rooms may need a bigger size or extra lights.
Plan the ceiling
Which size, how high.
Room centre
Add the room’s length and width in metres and multiply by 8 for a good diameter in cm. A 2.5 × 2.5 m room suits Ø 40 cm, a 3 × 3 m room Ø 50 cm and a 3.5 × 4 m room Ø 60 cm. For larger rooms, use several pendants.

Over a table
Choose a diameter of about two-thirds of the table’s width: Ø 40 cm for a 60 cm table, Ø 50 cm for 75 cm, Ø 60 cm for 90 cm. Over an island, hang two or three Ø 40 cm shades in a row, about 70–80 cm apart. Hang the bottom of the shade 75–90 cm above the tabletop.

Ceiling height
Where people walk underneath, set the cord so the bottom of the shade is at least 2.1 m (7 ft) above the floor. On ceilings above 2.4 m, add about 7.5 cm of drop for every 30 cm of extra height.

Care for your pendant
- Switch off the power and let the bulb cool before cleaning.

Is a bulb included?
No. It takes one E26/E27 bulb, sold separately. LED is recommended.
How long is the cord?
The cord adjusts up to 200 cm, and a matte black ceiling canopy is included.
Natural or brown?
Natural is lighter and suits coastal and Scandi rooms; brown is deeper and suits walnut and mid-century pieces.
Is every shade identical?
No. Because each one is handwoven from natural rattan, small variations in tone and weave are normal.
How is it installed?
It hangs from the ceiling on a cord and is hardwired. A qualified electrician is recommended.
